how can you download free pc games? any websites, programs, etc...?

I have surfed the web for so many sites. majority provides downloads on a free trial basis only, before you know it you're time have expired already leaving the kids frustrated.Many sites contain pop ups that makes you wonder when are you going to reach the site. RRPG sites are so violent, you have to monitor the kids constantly. I am looking for an entertaining yet child friendly site for downloading pc games. Thank you guys.
